black hole fire.jpg Do the stars really hold all the answers? Can humans or sailors live with out the cosmos? Do you sail in the dark forever or do you really use the stars to find your way from so far away? Do we really need to understand Celestial navigation to sail in to the darkened sea over night or could we just float slowly like the titleon and on through and across the 209814main_across_universe_690.jpg ??

Who can know? 100_0014.jpg  Just sail on sailor.

It seems like a Zillion days since the puffin left her watery home for the HARD she is on the bank of the Ingram bay of cockrell creek just waiting for me to get it together and relaunch.

All of the boards of the cabin sole are preped and ready so only the weather is the hold up and I am leaning toward just a “bite the bullet you dunk” approach that would mean what the hell return her to the water with or without warm weather.

Watching the sky that’s what sailors do, as well they watch clouds, and signs in front of their faces. They watch the water and listen to the engine always aware of changes taking place around them.

They are looking out for their lives and the lives of the crew taking care to perserve both if at all possible. It probably is not a good idea to lose either.

The cabin sole has been refinished and is ready to go back in as well the table but thats for later after she's back in the water.

I'm going to have to bite the bullet and put her back with out the benifit of warm weather at night burr...and hope for the best.

What else can a poor boy do209814main_across_universe_690.jpg. Across the universe hello.

Done and about time, after nearly 8 weeks out on the hard. The final hurdle to the transducer being installed is complete.

Now we wait for the coming warm spell as I have no idea that I will like living on the boat when it drops below freezing at night so waiting is the answer.

The transducer is mounted in the fairing and everything is nearly done just an adjustment on the cap nut and she will be finished. Then we wait for the warm spell and relaunch.

I’m not in any hurry to get her back in the water just to freeze overnight while I wait to observe how long she takes to stop leaking and reswell. That could take 2 or 3 days and I prefer warm climates not the north pole.

Today is the day just like the first day of spring, warm and sunny and slight breeze's to mild wind, just an all round great sailing day. I can hardly wait for the water to warm up and the crabs to come back to life out of the muddy nebula.title

The last work on the hull will be finished by the end of today then we wait for fair weather to finish out and re-launch. dock.gif

O.K. with the weather? I am so today and tomorrow all that I want to do on the boat out of the water will get done come hell or high water.

Then let the wind blow and the sails rise higher and higher to carry us out to sea where there is a refuge and the waves roll on and on, let the shore line lights slip slowly out of sight and let the tide carry us long, long, long into the darkest night. By the sunrise the glorious sun shine will bath us, embracing our soul, as it rises higher higher into the morning sky, and we sail slowly out of the early madrugada, leavein behind the stary-starry dark of night like an island far far behind…
